Search resumes for missing 5 year old April Jones
Hundreds of volunteers in Mid Wales are back out on the streets of Machynlleth today to help police in the search for missing toddler, April Jones. Last night the five-year-old was spotted getting into a 'light coloured van' that drove off and police fear she's been abducted.
Dyfed-Powys Police - which is leading the investigation - say she was playing out with her friends on their bikes near to garages in the Briny Gog estate in the town at around 7.30pm last night. Her disappearance has had such an impact on the local community that around 200 people from the town and surrounding areas have helped in a search of streets, farmland and woodland through the night for the young girl. According to the police 'nothing is being overlooked' and again they'll bring out their police dog teams and will be joined by the fire service as today's operation resumes.
April was wearing a purple knee-length coat, a white polo top and black trousers and police are urging anyone who knows anything to call them on their decidated hotline 0300 2000 333
