Secrets And Lies finale: Jess or Christy, who killed Tom Murphy?

ABC's mystery thriller is just one episode away from its chilling finale as fans are eagerly waiting for the big revelation that will finally unmask the real killer of Tom Murphy, the five-year-old son of Jess Murphy.

Until now Ben Crawford remained a prime suspect as he was the first person who discovered little Tom's body in the woods.

In the previous episode, detective Andrea Cornell scours through the evidence all over again and questions Christy, Ben's ex-wife, and comes to the conclusion that the father of two is actually not the killer.

Meanwhile, Ben, who is infatuated by Jess spends a steamy evening with the mother of the dead boy only to discover a photo in which Jess is wearing a blue jacket - the same jacket the killer was wearing.

He also learns that she is being treated for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia with antipsychotic medications.

His investigation further reveals Jess's dark secret — that she had another baby which died within a year under suspicious circumstances.

Before he can come to any conclusion, Jess attacks Ben, but he somehow manages to escape from her house.

Later, he receives a call from Christy that their daughter Abby is missing. The upcoming finale episode will reveal that Tom's killer is a woman which this will bring Jess and Christy under suspicion.

The synopsis for the finale reads: "Certain that he is not responsible for Tom's death, Ben tries to finally relax and enjoy the Christmas that he missed with his family — until a shocking discovery changes his plans. Meanwhile, with the evidence having been re-tested, Cornell puts all the pieces together and prepares to make an arrest. But in the stunning conclusion, Ben makes a decision that will change his family's life forever. The nightmare is only just starting."

Secrets And Lies season finale is titled The Lies and will air on 3 May on ABC.
