Full-time: Sevilla 3-3 Liverpool

Well, make of that what you will.

Liverpool were 3-0 up and cruising at half-time thanks to a Firmino brace and a Mane header, but two from Ben Yedder and a late, late Pizarro strike have handed Sevilla one point and an evening to remember.

The inquest will start for Klopp's side, who should have been home and hosed after the first period, but Berizzo's men will care not. Still much to decide in Group E.

That's it for our coverage of the goings on in Sanchez Pizjuan. Have a good evening.

SANCHEZ PIZJUANSTANBUL.

Pizarro stabs home from a corner to send the Sevilla faithful into delirium. Just incredible. Full-time seconds away.

GOAL! Sevilla 3-3 Liverpool (Pizarro)

Milner fires the ball across the face of goal but nobody can latch onto it. Klopp incensed on the touchline, feels that his side should have had a penalty for a foul on Mane, who went down too easily.

Sevilla need a second wind and they need it quickly. Liverpool look the more likely to score next.

Klopp is making a final change - Salah coming off for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who gets the last five minutes plus stoppage time.

Final change for Sevilla - Ben Yedder off Correa.

Meanwhile, Mane is set free but blasts his shot over. A bit more composure and the Senegal star ends the contest.

An incredible intervention from Banega keeps the score 3-2.

Liverpool break with Can and Mane, but the former's low cross is cleared by the Argentine, who is not known for his defensive capabilities.

Sevilla make a second change - Nolito off, Muriel on.

Liverpool perhaps should have made it four in their first attack of the second half. Rico makes a hash of a cross before Pizarro is robbed by Firmino, who tees up Salah.

The in-form Egyptian snatches at his shot which goes for a corner, and Sevilla eventually clear.

The Sevilla faithful go wild as Henderson clatters into Escudero. He rightly receives a yellow for a clumsy challenge that included an elbow to the back of his opponent's head. Naughty.

Henderson gives the ball away cheaply and allows Sarabia to win a corner.

It's cleared, and eventually offside is given.

Sevilla come close again! Escudero rattles the crossbar after his shot is parried by Karius.

Klopp has acted with a double change, Can and Milner on for Coutinho and Moreno, who has had a rather torrid 17 minutes.

Ben Yedder has his second after converting a calm penalty, sending Karius the wrong way twice after having to take the spot-kick twice due to encroachment. Game well and truly on.

GOAL! Sevilla 2-3 Liverpool (Ben Yedder)

GOAL! Or not. The referee has ordered it to be retaken for encroachment.

Moreno again... the ball gets caught under his feet, and he ends up clumsily tripping Ben Yedder.

PENALTY TO SEVILLA!

Sevilla piling on the pressure now as Escudero jinks his side and delivers a teasing ball that Moreno heads clear. Their tails are up, they can smell bloody from a rocking Liverpool.

Mercado has gone into the book for dissent after Coutinho concedes a rather innocuous foul in another dangerous area.

It's a good ball from Geis, but Lenglet is adjudged to have fouled Lovren.

A needless tackle from Moreno gives Sevilla free-kick, which is headed in excellently by Ben Yedder. A lifeline for Breizzo's men, who have started the second-half in spritely fashion.

GOAL! Sevilla 1-3 Liverpool (Ben Yedder)

Sarabia makes a lovely, untracked run into the Liverpool box but he is adjudged offside. The Spaniard was cleared out by Karius, for nothing.

Second half under way, and Vazquez is immediately involved, setting away Sarabia.

A change afoot for Sevilla at half-time. N'Zonzi off for Franco Vazquez.

Safe to say the Reds are enjoying themselves in Seville.

Half-time: Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool

The perfect half for Liverpool, who have made Sevilla collapse in front of their fervent fans.

Firmino has scored twice, his strikes sandwiching Mane's close-range header. They've cut their hosts to bits, though they do have Karius to thank for keeping them in the lead at 1-0, the German saving brilliantly from Nolito.

Into stoppage time now as Coutinho tries from range but his effort is gobbled up by Rico.

Sevilla try to strike back but the stuffing has been well and truly knocked out of them.

Salah almost makes it four!

Lovely ball by Coutinho who feeds the Egyptian, but his shot his blocked well by Rico. Sevilla at sixes and sevens in defence.

Mane should go in the book moments later for a silly trip on Banega, but the referee chooses to keep his cards in his pocket.

Coutinho forces a corner with some clever, jinking play. His set-piece is almost met on the volley by Lovren, but the Croat miskicks. Salah picks up the pieces but blazes over.

If Ben Yedder or Nolito had converted their chances, this could have been oh so different.

But they didn't and they have been made to pay by a rampant Liverpool, who are coasting to the last-16 as it stands.

Sanchez Pizjuanstanbul anyone?

Game over?

A ball over the top finds Mane, whose saved shot finds Firmino with an open goal from four yards out. He makes no mistake, lashing home to make it three.

Sevilla's home record in danger of ending in humiliating fashion.

GOAL! Sevilla 0-3 Liverpool: (Firmino)

A bit of a fracas on the touchline as Klopp fronts up to a ball boy, who gave Gomez the ball. Bit silly from all parties.

It's a carbon copy of the first goal!

Coutinho's corner is flicked on by Firmino, and Mane is on hand to head home from close range. There was initial confusion as the Senegal star wheeled away, but there was nothing wrong with the goal. The Reds are in dreamland!

GOAL! Sevilla 0-2 Liverpool (Mane)

This man's goal is all the difference at the moment.

Firmino could have just made it two, sprinting away from Lenglet, but Rico is more than equal to his shot.

Karius keeps Liverpool's lead intact!

Liverpool's defence is alarmingly stretched as Nolito chops inside Gomez and fires goalbound. Karius manages to deny the Spaniard, tipping his shot onto the post.

Sevilla goes close just moments late through Ben Yedder, who beats Karius but also the post. The hosts should be level, and Liverpool need to get their act together.

Liverpool probe for a second through Mane and Gomez but the latter's shot finds nobody.

The Reds come again as Lovren bursts through but runs the ball out of play, before Coutinho is muscled out of possession by Pizarro.

Sevilla starting to find their rhythm now. Escudero is played in but rifles the side netting. Around a quarter of an hour gone.

Mane wins another corner after darting into the area. Liverpool dart forward with such speed and number.

This corner from Coutinho is a decent delivery but Rico manages to punch clear. Play is then stopped with Firmino suffering a nasty fall.

Sevilla look shaky to say the least at the back. Lenglet almost loses possession to Salah, but the Andalusians just about regroup.

Banega looks for Sarabia but Klavan is there to clear for a throw-in. Sevilla recycle possession but play is stopped when Banega mistimes a challenge on Mane.

Coutinho's corner is flicked on by Wijnaldum, and Firmino is lurking at the back post to fire home from close range.

What a start from Liverpool!

GOAL! Sevilla 0-1 Liverpool (Firmino)

We are under way at the Sanchez-Pizjuan. Sevilla in possession.

The teams are walking out onto the pitch. A final reminder of the starting line-ups:

Liverpool: Karius, Gomez, Klavan, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Sevilla: Sergio Rico, Mercado, Geis, Lenglet, Escudero, Pizarro, Nzonzi, Banega, Sarabia, Nolito, Ben Yedder.

Who are you backing?

We get it. He's good at footy.

A little look into Liverpool's dressing room. Huge metal box.

10 minutes to go now. Can Liverpool book their place in last-16 of the Champions League for the first time in nine years? We're about to find out.

Jurgen Klopp's pre-match thoughts:

"Hoffenheim had a longer [unbeaten home] run, but we know how strong they are how special the atmosphere is here, I try to prepare the boys for it and we'll see how we handle it.

"[The game against Sevilla at home] was one of our best games, we should have scored much more, it was a really good game. the main thing's that changed is Phil, the performance was really good but we need to do better tonight it's their home. We need to do the right things, we need to fight and be aggressive, we have grown since then.

"Whoever's here tonight, enjoy."

Ragnar Klavan for the message he received from Jurgen Klopp about signing for Liverpool was a hoax.

The teams are out ahead of the clash.

Less than half an hour to go until kick-off at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

He has been in scintillating form for the Reds so far, but Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been tipped to leave Anfield for Real Madrid by former Tottenham forward Mido.

The Egyptian posted on Twitter: "Congratulations to @22mosalah on becoming the most Egyptian to Score goals in Europe and still got plenty to come!!remember when the Liverpool fans made fun of me when I said 3 years ago that Salah is 10 times better thn Sterling..well now they know I was right !!keep going son!!

"@22mosalah got the mentality to keep playing at the top level for many years and this is what we were all Egyptians r missing when we had the chance to play in Europe..I believe that Salah will not stay for long at @LFC !!soon he will be gone to @realmadriden #HalaMadrid,"

Liverpool have already fended off one Spanish giant who took a liking to one of their star attackers, they won't want to go through it again.

This stat highlights the incredible turnaround Alberto Moreno has made at Anfield. Fair play to the once much-derided Spaniard, who could well have signed for Watford in the summer.

Liverpool will be hoping for a similar result this evening!

The Reds' starlets wiped the floor with Andalusians earlier today, with World Cup hero Rhian Brewster unsurprisingly on the scoresheet.

Both Sevilla and Liverpool will want to be joining this lot tonight...

Huge for Liverpool, this. Maribor equalise against Lokomotiv Moscow to all but seal the Reds' place in the last-16.

With a few defensive injuries and a number of impressive attackers on show, the match at the Sanchez Pizjuan certainly offers the promise of goals.

Salah, Coutinho and Firmino have scored nine goals between them in the group stage so far, and you wouldn't bet against them improving that tally tonight.

No Daniel Sturridge in Liverpool's starting line-up - the forward only makes the bench.

Rumours have been circulating around the striker, who is open to leaving Anfield in order to receive regular game-time ahead of the World Cup, and Reds legend Phil Thompson would understand if the former Chelsea star decided to seek pastures new.

"If I was Jurgen Klopp I'd want him to stay but I understand Sturridge wanting to go. He will not go to the World Cup if he continues within the current squad status," Thompson told Sky Sports.

"As a Liverpool fan, I want to see our squad remain together because it isn't that big as it is and he does enhance it. However, on a personal side, having been a player, I'd be worried his chance is passing him by.

"This could maybe be his last World Cup, and when you look at the players who are in that squad, he can still have a major say if he can get back in there. He must be thinking he could play a part this summer.

"I think he'll want to play more regularly and look at his options in January. He'll look at someone like Jermain Defoe and think there is hope that he can leave and get back into the squad."

Daniel Sturridge

Can't find Sevilla's substitutes anywhere, but will bring them to you as soon as I do.

As for the starting line-up, will man of the moment Mohamed Salah keep up his rich vein of goalscoring form? Just the 14 so far this season.

Good question. I'll go for Sean Dundee.

Sevilla are without first-choice centre-back Kjaer, so Geis partners the impressive Lenglet in the heart of defence. Former Premier League star N'Zonzi will patrol the midfield alongside Pizarro and Banega, while Nolito and Sarabia will support the productive Ben Yedder, who will be looking to build on his fruitful Champions League campaign.

If this match isn't on your BTTS accumulator, then what is?

The big guns are out for the Reds tonight. Mane, Salah, Firmino and Coutinho all start, while Karius replaces Mignolet as expected.

Klavan and Lovren make up the heart of defence in Matip's absence, flanked by Gomez and Moreno.

No Lallana.

Substitutes: Mignolet, Milner, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold.

A lovely tribute, indeed.

Liverpool pay homage to former Sevilla defender Antonio Puerta, who died 10 years ago. The Spanish left-back suffered heart failure in a match against Getafe in August 2007 before passing away in hospital three days later.

Lallana could feature against Sevilla, who boast a formidable home record, but defender Joel Matip will play no part against the Andalusians due to a thigh problem, though Klopp doesn't think the Cameroonian will miss a substantial period of time.

"The squad looks good. They are pretty much all here from the normal squad, apart from Joel. He is in Liverpool and full training, so all good," Klopp said.

"He is good, I think there will be a big chance he will be ready for Saturday, but there was no chance for this game – it was a little bit too quick but it is all good."

Will we see Adam Lallana make his long-awaited return from a thigh problem tonight? The midfielder has been training with the first-team squad for the past seven days, but Klopp is understandably deciding to be cautious.

"He is getting nearer and nearer, but we need him for the rest of the season and not for the next weeks," Klopp told Liverpool's official website. "He is really knocking on the door and it is fantastic that he is back."

Liverpool are no strangers to famous European evenings. Can they be part of another memorable match-up tonight?

Good evening and welcome to IB Times UK's live coverage of Sevilla vs Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side could secure in the last-16 of Europe's premier club competition with a win over the Andalusians tonight, but they will need whipping boys Maribor to pull out all the stops against Lokomotiv Moscow, who drew with the Reds in September.

Securing victory at the Sanchez Pizjuan is not exactly a cakewalk, either; Eduardo Berizzo's side have not tasted defeat at home since losing to Serie A Champions last November.

An arduous task for Liverpool, though may take confidence from their last result away from Anfield in the Champions League - the Reds ran riot in Slovenia, eventually running out 7-0 victors against Maribor.

Stay with IB Times UK for the latest team news, updates and reaction to all the goings on in Seville.
