Stars arrive in style for the 68th Emmy Awards
Celebrities turn to Twitter to share excitement ahead of the event with Beyonce among star guests.
The stars of the small screen are getting ready to shine at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the ceremony begins at 8pm and a host of celebrities are already making their way to the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
And of course they are tweeting their excitement ahead of the glamourous night. The star arrival of the night that everyone is talking about is Beyonce, who it was earlier reported is expected to grace the event with her presence.
All eyes will also be on British actor Tom Hiddleston who is nominated for his role in The Night Manager. It is the actor's first official public appearance since his split from singer Taylor Swift, and while the break-up apparently was prompted by his eagerness for the pair to walk the red carpet together, the Love Story singer is still rooting for her ex.
Meanwhile, the stars have been sharing their pre-Emmy's preparations on social media. Model Olivia Culpo posted a photo of herself wearing a silk robe with a glimpse of her gown in the background.
America Ferrera and Sofia Vergara weren't worried about fitting in their dresses as they enjoyed some pre-Emmy burgers. Ferrara posted a shot of hers, writing: "Just a light bite before I get into my Emmy dress. #eatlikeabird".
Quantico star Priyanka Chopra teased a picture of her red gown and later shared a photo from her limo as she made her way to the event. The actress is expected to share the stage with Tom Hiddleston as she presents an award.
Winning the award for the cutest red carpet arrival was the young cast of Stranger Things. James Corden who also tweeted his look for the night dressed in a blue cheerleader costume, said: " I'm the only nominee at the Emmy's wearing this right now!"
Among the contenders for the awards are Ryan Murphy's The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story which leads the way with 13 nominations, while Veep comes in second with 10 nods.
With nine nominations, HBO's Game of Thrones is expected to clean up on the night earning the most nominations, while FX's The Americans and USA breakout Mr. Robot are hotly tipped to bag awards.
