Stephen Fry, Arsene Wenger, John Terry and Joey Barton Become Voices of London Underground Announcements
John Terry, Arsene Wenger and Joey Barton will voice announcements at London Underground stations close to their respective stadiums tomorrow.
Chelsea defender Terry will welcome passengers at Fulham Broadway, Earl's Court and West Brompton, stations close to home stadium Stamford Bridge.
The change of service comes as part of a drive by Transport for London (TfL) to encourage Londoners to support the Royal British Legion's London Poppy Day on 30 October, 2014.
Gunners manager Wenger will greet commuters at Arsenal, Holloway Road, and Finsbury Park, while QPR midfielder-come-philosopher Barton has recorded messages for people using stations near Rangers' Loftus Road stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend will also be heard.
Other celebrities involved in the scheme are Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley and Brian Blessed.
