Not only are they cute, funny and provide us with hours of entertainment on the internet, but some cats also have extraordinary talents too.
From surfing to playing the piano, we trawled through the archives to find some of the world's most talented felines.

Fist-bump cat
An extremely well-trained cat recently did the rounds on social media after it was filmed greeting its owner with a fist-bump.
There's nothing wrong with this cat's handshake style.

Cats aren't known for being fearless, but this little kitten bravely stood its ground when a much bigger wanted to play a little too rough.
One-eyed surfing cat
Nankuli, known as Kuli, lives in Honolulu and loves to surf. The one-eyed moggy was rescued by owners Alexandra Gomez and Krista Littleton weighing only one pound, but has gone on to become an expert in riding the waves.
Pavlov's cats
In a twist on the Pavlov's Dogs experiment - in which Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov conditioned canines to associate food with the sound of a bell - these clever kitties have learned to ring a bell when they want their dinner.
Nora the piano cat
Nora is a slightly chubby grey cat who gained international fame after a YouTube video of her playing the piano went viral back in 2007. She even ended up being feature in a performance by the Lithuanian Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, led by conductor and composer Mindaugas Piecaitis.
Cat flushing toilet
Cats are known for being fastidiously clean, but this feline has taken hygiene to the next level by learning to flush the toilet. The owner said the cat's strange talent had led to some scary moments: "Hearing the toilet flush when I am in the house alone can be startling. Especially after watching The Conjuring... In the dark..."
