Surrey cricketers hospitalised after bloody collision at Arundel
Surrey cricketers Rory Burns and Moises Henriques have been taken to hospital after being involved in a head-on collision during the T20 Blast match against Sussex at Arundel.
Both players left the ground in ambulances and were taken to St Richards Hospital in Chichester, but are conscious and sitting up after a heavy collision which saw the duo received lengthy treatment on the outfield.
The match was abandoned following the incident which saw the fielders converge under the ball after Steffan Piolet's flighted shot in the 19th over of Sussex's innings.
Eye whiteness have reported that blood had to be cleaned up on the outfield while unconfirmed reports are suggesting one of the players received CPR before leaving the field, indicating that they could have been unconscious following the collision.
