At least 29 people have been killed in a car bomb blast on the Syria-Turkey border, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Other activists estimate that over 30 people have been killed, while the private Turkish news agency Dogan said that scores were wounded but these totals could not be immediately verified.

"At least 12 ambulances have transported wounded people into Turkey, the death toll is very high," an activist in the area told Reuters.

A vehicle was loaded with explosives and detonated in the Karaj Sajou area, near the Bab al-Salama crossing in the northern province of Aleppo.
