Taylor Swift wants to be 'far enough away' from Justin Bieber during Grammys 2016
Taylor Swift does not want to face Justin Bieber at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The 26-year-old singer, who is nominated for seven awards, including album of the year for 1989, is set to perform at the 58th annual event on 15 February in Los Angeles.
Swift is also up for record of the year and song of the year awards for Blank Space. At the ceremony, Selena Gomez's former boyfriend will be performing Where Are Ü Now with Skrillex and Diplo.
"Taylor has made it clear that she doesn't want to be near Justin during the telecast. At other award shows it was always figured out and she expects things to be the same for the Grammys. She'll be far enough away from him or backstage during his performance. It will be handled and she knows that she won't have to deal with him," a source told Hollywood Life.
"He'd love it if they could just be friends once and for all. He's convinced that if she got to know the 'new, more mature' Justin, that she'd really quite like him," the insider added.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Same Old Love singer talked about her bond with Swift. She told the Sunday Times: "I can count on one hand the people I could call and who would be there for me. Taylor is one of the greatest people. When I split with my first boyfriend and I was really sad about it, she flew into town with homemade cookies and a bunch of junk food."
