Tesla has turned on the world's biggest battery in the Australia outback after a guarantee from Elon Musk to "build it in 100 days or its free".

Tesla is battling yet another discrimination lawsuit, after claims African-American employees are regularly racially abused.
Musk had previously tweeted that the specs of the vehicle are better than anything he has seen reported.
Tesla will install a 48 megawatt-hour battery in Nantucket. It will provide electricity for about 10,000 people living 30 miles from the north-east corner of the US.
"Unless we learn how to prepare for, and avoid, the potential risks, AI could be the worst event in the history of our civilization," Hawking said.
Hawking has previously cautioned that the rise of powerful AI will be "either the best or the worst thing ever to happen to humanity".
Tesla will not be able to produce the new Model 3 electric car as fast as originally promised. Full-scale production not expected now until 2018.
"Any journalist (who covered the story) should be ashamed of themselves for lacking journalistic integrity," Musk said.
Elon Musk has previously described AI as a "fundamental risk to the existence of human civilisation".
The Silicon Valley tech firm is reportedly in talks to set up a factory in Shanghai's free trade zone.
The insurance package offered by Tesla will take into account the car's built-in safety features like the Autopilot.
Elon Musk did an AMA where he made a few interesting revelations about how far the project has come, including interesting technical details about his rockets.
The electric automaker reportedly dismissed an estimated 400 to 700 people or between 1% and 2% of the firm's more than 33,000 employees.
"Each successful launch brings us one step closer to both a technological and financial transformation," Iridium CEO Matt Desch said.
The first launch has been scheduled for Monday, 9 October, while the second will take place a couple of days later on Wednesday, 11 October.
