Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas expects Arsenal to start dropping points in the Premier League with some big matches coming their way.

Spurs have started the season well and are currently on 16 points, three behind league leaders Arsenal, having won five and lost two of their first eight fixtures. The Gunners, who have already beaten Tottenham 1-0, will now face the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in back to back games which will be a true test of their title credentials this season.

AVB also expects Manchester United to move back into the mix among the top four, with David Moyes facing a series of winnable games which should see them close the gap at the top.

"The Premier League looks extremely open this season. It's so open that the 14th team has 10 points. Everyone is so tight together" said Villas-Boas.

"We will see the big fixtures coming for Arsenal, they have only played us and they will play other big teams. So I would suppose the fixture list at the moment is in favour of Manchester United because they have played all of the big teams so far. That will give them a chance to bounce back for sure," AVB said.

Tottenham will play Hull City next, which will be followed by the likes of Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United in the run-in, where they are likely to drop points. The north London club will take on Sheriff Tiraspol this week in the Europa League as they look to progress in the tournament.
