UK: Police hunt for women filmed in racist tirade on London Underground
Police are looking for a woman who launched into racist tirade on a London underground train.
A video has emerged of the woman ranting at a black passenger on a crowded Jubilee line train before telling him: 'You have a problem because you guys used to be slaves."
The woman, who appears to be speaking with an eastern European accent, got into an argument with a man sitting opposite after asking him to move seats.
Other passengers on the crowded train can be heard shouting 'shut up' after she makes the racist remark. She is heard responding to the comments saying: "I have black friends, I'm not racist.'"
The incident occurred last month around Stratford station in east London.
British Transport Police are investigating the incident, and have appealed for whoever shot the video to come forward.
A spokesman said: "We have been made aware of a video posted online which appears to show an altercation onboard a London Underground Jubilee line train. Officers are currently analysing the video and are appealing for the person who recorded it to come forward."
Anyone with information about the incident, is asked to contact British Transport on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference T/B11 of 12/02/2015.
