US: Man with two penises publishes memoirs titled Double Header

A man who claims to have two penises has penned a tongue-in-cheek memoir titled Double Header.

The 25-year-old was born with an extra, fully functioning penis, as a result of a rare medical condition called diphallia, which affects one in 6 million people.

The man uploaded pictures of his genitalia to Reddit in January using the username DoubleD**kDude and spent the subsequent six hours answering questions about his penile duplication from curious members of the public.

However, he insists he will never reveal his identity because his life would 'never, ever be the same.'

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine he said: "The best way and easiest way to explain it is like this: If Superman revealed to the world he was Clark Kent, he would never ever be left alone.

"If I went public and on camera, from that moment on I'd be the guy with two dicks, not me. The butcher at the grocery store would know . . . I'd get asked to take them out and show them to people randomly. That's not a cool idea if you ask me," he explained.

In his new 76-page tell-all, the man talks about the highs and lows of living with diphallia.

While most men afflicted with diphallia have one of their appendages removed at an early age, the man said he did not since his mother, who had already suffered two miscarriages before his birth was 'terrified' that surgery could result in another premature death.

He said that he is glad he was not forced to undergo corrective surgery. "Besides the ego boost it really makes a person feel special knowing there is likely no one else like you alive right now."

The man, believed to be American, previously revealed in an 'Ask Me Anything' thread that he has one pair of testicles which split into two fully-formed penises that are individually able to achieve erection and climax.

The unnamed man, who now has a boyfriend after being in a bisexual polyamorous relationship with a man and woman, describes in her memoir his history of sexual encounters with more than 1,000 men and women.

He said that having an extra penis has opened him up to greater sexual experimentation since he can use both appendages at the same time, with two different lovers or the same person.

Writing under the pen name Diphallic Dude, he said he hopes his experiences will encourage readers to embrace their own bodies.

"With so much negativity in the world, the ability to bring something positive to the table is a great feeling," he said.
