Overview
Novak Djokovic comes into this match following an easy 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 win over Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu and is looking on form to capture his second Grand Slam title of the year. The Serbian did not come into this tournament in the greatest of form, but seems to have shrugged it off and gotten back his rhythm.
The Serbian has made the finals at Flushing Meadows for the last four years, but has won it just once.
Meanwhile, Djokovic's opponent is the big serving American Sam Querrey, who is coming off a morale boosting 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 win over 28 seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. The American is making his eighth appearance at the US Open, but has made it past the 3rd round just twice and he will really need to be at the top of his game, if has to have a chance to make thrice.
The winners of this match will come up against one of John Isner or Philipp Kohlschreiber.
