Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015: Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge share backstage action

Fashion's elite flocked to New York on 10 November to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. With a host of new models strutting the catwalk, veteran Angels donning their wings and, of course, the unveiling of the $2m (£1.3m) Fireworks Fantasy bra, it was all happening on the runway.

However, all the unscripted action took place behind the scenes, where the models were caught causing mischief backstage and getting preened to perfection with stylists perfecting their hair and make-up. IBTimes UK has rounded up the best of the backstage action...

Gigi Hadid

New to the Victoria's Secret modelling scene, Hadid, 20, shared a photo of herself with BFF Kendall Jenner and a rather sweet caption, which read: "No one I would have rather shared my VS v-card with ;) This show is genuinely a dream come true. Can't thank you enough."

Kendall Jenner

It was a big day for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star who was making her VS debut but she had the support of her fellow models with whom she enjoyed a pampering session with.

Ellie Goulding

The Burn singer replaced Rihanna as a performer on the runway and serenaded the models with her Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack single, Love Me Like You Do. Hours before her appearance, Goulding joked she had been hired as an Angel with this cheeky Instagram photo:

Selena Gomez

Joining Goulding on the line-up was Selena Gomez, who sang the track Me & My Girls, which features on her new album, Revival. Backstage though, she swapped the microphone for a selfie, posing with her model friends including Jenner and Lily Aldridge.

Lily Aldridge

Naturally, there were plenty of selfies being taken backstage and Aldridge, who had the pleasure of modelling the Fireworks Fantasy bra, got in on the action with Hadid and Candice Swanepoel.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Again, more selfie time from Victoria's Secret Angel Ambrosio who chose to use a Fujifilm Instax camera instead for a vintage polaroid.

Clearly the rebellious among the models, Swanepoel and Jenner defied the rules by posing with their phones near a sign that specifically stated no mobiles, texting or social media were allowed.
