Nashville season 3 finale will air on Wednesday, 13 May, at 10pm on ABC network.

Episode 22 is titled Before You Go Make Sure You Know, where Deacon's life hangs in the balance.

The official synopsis of the finale episode reads as follows:

Juliette is laser-focused on finishing her album and when she puts everything and everyone she loves behind it, Avery makes a decision that impacts their lives forever. Deacon's life hangs in the balance, but Rayna and the girls are by his side. With the clock ticking and the future uncertain, will they celebrate a life together?

The finale will focus on Rayna and Deacon's relationship as he continues his battle with liver cancer. Although it is not known whether or not Deacon would survive his battle with cancer, he was given a gift from his sister last week, who agreed to donate her liver to save him.

In a new promo, Juliette and Avery are seen fighting over their baby, while Deacon proposes to Rayna as he prepared for his surgery.

With Rayna by his bedside, Deacon proposes to her, fearing that he might not survive the surgery.

"Marry me," Deacon pleads. "Right here, right now, before I go in there I want you to get married to me."

Deacon then tells Rayna about his very vivid dreams of dying. "I'm having these dreams," he says. "You've got to listen to me. Real as day I dreamt it. I'm on the table, I'm in the ground."

"You know what? I've got dreams, too," replies Rayna. "About you and me getting old together, and we got these girls, and I dream about us raising them."
