Westminster: Met Police hunt elderly woman with walking frame who 'assaulted 22-year-old on London bus'
Metropolitan Police are looking for an elderly woman with a walking frame after a 22-year-old suffered a broken rib in an assault in a dispute over a seat on a London bus.
Police have released CCTV images of the greying woman after a female passenger on the route 73 bus reported being assaulted.
The incident occurred on Thursday 12 March, at 3:38pm and is believed to be due to a dispute over a priority seat.
The victim, who has osteoporosis, was sitting in the priority seating area at the front of the bus.
As she got up to leave at Great Titchfield Street, the suspect elbowed her hard in the stomach, causing her to fall back on to the floor. The victim later went to hospital and was treated for a broken rib.
The suspect is described as a woman of Mediterranean appearance, aged about 60, with short grey hair, wearing glasses and using a wheeled walking frame.
