'Who needs hair with that pretty face'— Fans go wild after Kate Hudson unveils buzz cut
Actress has cut off her locks for Sia Movie.
Saint Paul may have said that a woman's hair is her glory, but Kate Hudson is refusing to listen to the popular gospel-spreading apostle. The Hollywood actress is almost unrecognisable after trading her trademark luscious blonde locks for a buzz cut.
Hudson, who has shaved hair for her role in Sia's upcoming movie Sister, unveiled the new look on Monday( 21 August), taking a break from filming to watch the solar eclipse in New York.
In the snap shared with her 7.6 million Instagram followers, the 38-year-old posed with her protective glasses and teen dancer Maddie Ziegler to look to the skies. The caption read: "Quick time-out! #SettingIntentions @maddieziegler."
The mother of one's fans were in awe of her makeover, with one person commenting: "Who needs hair with that pretty face."
Another said: "Love love love your new hair style!"
A third added: "I always tell my girls there is more to a chick than her hair!"
Sia's teenage protégé Maddie shared the same snap, writing: "Watching the solar eclipse between takes."
Sister, which is about a sober drug dealer and his autistic sister, is written and directed by singer-songwriter Sia and is based on a short story the Australian musician wrote in 2007. "I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project because I was a singer," the Chandelier hitmaker confessed during a during a Q&A at Venice Days in 2015. "And then last year, after I made the 'Chandelier' video, I realised that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver."
While a release date is yet to be announced, Ziegler said the project was "unlike anything you've seen before" and credited Hudson with teaching her "everything"/
She said of the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star: "She's amazing, she's incredible. She's becoming like a family member to me, I love her so much."
