Wolverine 3: Patrick Stewart confirms his return as Professor X
Sir Patrick Stewart has confirmed his return as Professor X in Wolverine 3. The 75-year-old actor said that he will make a comeback to the X-Men spinoff movie series as Charles Xavier in the movie with Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine himself.
"I think what you say is true," Stewart told Collider adding that his role will be more than just a simple cameo. "There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me."
The British actor also teased about the plot and Jackman's old look in the James Mangold directed movie.
"And the idea of an old Wolverine – I'm really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I'm hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he'll make me look better if that's the case."
IGN speculates that the much awaited movie will follow the Old Man Logan story where Jackman will don some old age prosthetics.
This will be the final Wolverine movie for Jackman as one of the X-Men members. After Stewart's confirmation, fans are expecting to see the awesome alliance between Wolverine and Professor X.
The third instalment of the Wolverine series is scheduled for a 3 March 2017 premiere.
