Xbox 360: Rockstar Games not keen on offering backwards compatibility
With Microsoft's much-awaited Xbox 360 backwards compatibility feature finally rolling out to Xbox One users across the world, popular game developers have already extended co-operation to Microsoft by ensuring that their titles are compatible with the latest functionality. A notable exception is game developer Rockstar Games.
According to a Gamepur report, Rockstar is not keen on supporting the backwards compatibility feature on its Xbox 360 titles. It even suggests the functionality is unlikely in the near future.
Rockstar has an array of popular Xbox 360 titles such as GTA 4, Max Payne 3, GTA San Andreas and more. It would seem that supporting backwards compatibility for these Xbox 360 games on Xbox One consoles is important to Rockstar fans.
Popular developers such as Bethesda, Activision, 2K, EA and others have already announced their support to backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games on Xbox One consoles. The list of popular backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles include:
