The 72nd Golden Globes 2015: The red carpet arrivals
Hollywood's A-listers are making their grand arrivals on the red carpet for the 72<sup>nd Golden Globe Awards.
The glamourous event marks the official start to the glittering awards season, as the stars don their designer dresses and their borrowed diamonds in the hope of making a show-stopping red carpet entrance.
TV star Maria Menounos and E! host Giuliana Rancic were the first to arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ahead of the three-hour ceremony.
Showing off the top trend for pastel hues, Rancic looked elegant in a pale pastel pink, off-the-shoulder fishtail dress.
Rosamund Pike, who is nominated for the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in Gone Girl, wore a strappy white dress with cut-out sides and a long pleated skirt.
The Theory of Everything star Eddie Redmayne was spotted on the red carpet sharing a joke with fellow Brit James Cordon.
Redmayne is a frontrunner for the glittering globe for his touching portrayal of Stephen Hawking.

Singer Lana Del Ray made a striking entrance in a flattering turquoise, pleated gown, while Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst wore an unusual emerald green, velvet gown in a coat design.
Model Chrissy Teigen arrived on the arm of her recording artist husband John Legend.
Accompanied by actor Darren Le Gallo Amy Adams exuded all the glamour of old Hollywood in a pastel blue gown with side swept hair. The actress is in contention for the prize for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical for her work in Big Eyes.
Diana star Naomi Watts brought a splash of colour to the proceedings in a canary yellow, off-the-shoulder gown matched with a snake necklace.
Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, the Sony hacking which led to the cancelling and delayed release of "The Interview and the ongoing Bill Cosby sex scandal are expected to be fair game in the pair's notoriously tongue-in-cheek introductions.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's backstage romp "Birdman" is a frontrunner with seven nominations, including best picture, comedy or musical." The film is up against Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" which has five nods and the Alan Turing World War II thriller "The Imitation Game".

This year, AMC's "Fargo" leads with five nominations, including best TV miniseries or movie. Hit HBO shows ("Game of Thrones," "Girls") will vie with Netflix entries ("House of Cards," "Orange Is the New Black"), Amazon upstarts ("Transparent") and network standbys ("The Good Wife") for top TV honours.
