UEFA Champions League 2011/12: AC Milan v Barcelona, Where to Watch, Match Preview and Statistics [POLL]
Barcelona and AC Milan come face to face for the two teams' Champions League quarter-final (first leg) tie at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan. The two sides earlier met in the group stages of this competition; the two games resulted in a 2-2 draw and a 3-2 win for Barcelona.
The match will be available live on vslive.tv in the UK and FOXSoccer.tv in the US.
AC Milan, who only just made it to this stage after a 0-3 drubbing from Arsenal in the second leg of their previous tie, have been good but a far cry from as imperious as they can be, at least on the continent. Also, the fact that AC Milan have been unable to beat Barcelona in the two teams' last five meetings will be at back of their minds. However, AC Milan, who are currently the leaders of their domestic league (Serie A), will be trying their best to get a positive result in this match.
Barcelona, on the other have been simply stunning, winning most of their matches by huge margins in almost all competitions. Led by Messi, who has already found the net 55 times, the Catalans have managed to find the nets with alarming regularity and ease. Coming from a stunning 7-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in their last game, Barcelona are certainly the favourites in this game.
AC Milan probable team:Abbiati; Mexes, Nesta, Bonera, Mesbah; Ambrosini; Nocerino, Muntari; Robinho; El Sharaawy, Ibrahimovic
Barcelona probable team:Valdes; Puyol, Pique Alves; Adriano, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, Sanchez, Messi
