Adele net worth: Hello songstress dethrones One Direction as richest celebrity under 30

After an impressive comeback, record-breaking third album and multiple awards added to her mantle, Adele has another reason to celebrate. The Hello songstress has been crowned the richest British celebrity under 30.

The 28-year-old powerhouse managed the feat after a blockbuster 12 months which saw her more than double her wealth to £92m. She not only climbed three places, but she has now dethroned One Direction, who had reigned supreme on Heat magazine's annual list for the last three years.

She is followed by 27-year-old Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, whose worth is estimated at £74m.

Third place is taken by a new entry. Despite recent legal woes , Ed Sheeran £45m bank balance remains in tact.

Zayn Malik's decision to leave One Direction has paid off, because now the group feature individually, he has surpassed his former bandmates and is in fourth with £38m.

The list compiled by Heat Magazine analysed record sales, endorsement deals, television contracts, and movie profits to determine the wealth of the young stars.

"Adele has been unstoppable this year with her album release and stadium tour, so it comes as no shock that she has come out on top," Heat editor Suzy Cox said.

"Despite their break-up, the One Direction boys have managed to stay in the top 10 but it will be interesting to see where they all stand next year after the release of their solo material."

News of Adele's healthy bank account comes days after it was reported that she plans to cap off 2016 by secretly tying the knot with longterm boyfriend Simon Konecki, with who has a four-year-old son, Angelo.

"The plan is to marry in LA. The wedding will be in one of the school holidays so Simon's daughter can attend," a source told the Mirror. "Adele is not even wearing her engagement ring. They're a private couple and only want their nearest and dearest there."
