Adele to perform at Kate Middleton's birthday party at Anmer Hall?
Adele is rumoured to be performing at Kate Middleton's birthday party at their home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall. The Duchess of Cambridge will celebrate her 34th birthday on 9 January.
"Kate has been a huge fan of Adele since her first album 19 and decided to reach out to her after 25 was released," a source told Heat magazine, according to Independent.
"She asked her personal assistance to contact Adele's management team in the hope she'd be available for a private performance to celebrate Kate's birthday. Kate isn't into big birthdays, but is having a small soiree for close family and friends and is desperate to have Adele sing an acoustic version of her new material, plus a few of her old hits," the insider added.
The 27-year-old singer was the big winner at the BBC Music Awards held at the Genting Arena, Birmingham on 10 December. She beat artists including Ed Sheeran and Florence and the Machine to win the British artist of the year award. She also received a gong for BBC's live performance of the year for Adele At The BBC.
Though Adele did not attend the ceremony, she did record a video message to thank her fans. She said: "Sorry I'm not there, I'm absolutely gutted but thanks so much for my award. Thank you so, so much. I hope you're all having a wonderful night."
