Airbnb offers free stay at Count Dracula's castle on Halloween but no garlic and crucifixes please
The winner will be served blood-enriching dinner and will sleep in luxurious velvet-trimmed coffins.
Fancy a night at Count Dracula's castle? Well, look no further. Airbnb has launched a competition for a night's stay on Halloween for two in Bran Castle, the setting for Bram Stoker's 19th-century Gothic horror novel.
The winner and a guest will be taken to the Carpathian mountains in Transylvania where a horse-drawn carriage will transport the travellers to the 14th-century castle just before sunset.
Dacre Stoker, the great-nephew of the author and a renowned vampire expert, will be the host. He will entertain the winners with stories and naturally, give a tour of the castle, which has a total of 57 rooms, which covers lofty tower lookouts and deep dark crypts.
The guests will be taken to a grand dining room where an intimate candlelit dinner will be served, prepared exactly as penned in Stoker's novel — and described by Stoker in the Airbnb website as a "hearty, blood-enriching meal".
The guests will then be invited to lay down for the night in two "luxurious velvet-trimmed coffins in the seclusion of the Count's crypt".
So what exactly does one have to do to win the exciting trip? Just simply answer one question: What would you say to the Count if you were to come face-to-fang with him in his own castle?"
The contest closes on 26 October 2016 and answers can be in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. It does not matter which country you hail from, the two winners will be flown in from anywhere in the world.
There are a few rules though. The winner and guest must be over 18 years of age, and should be able to spend the night at the castle on 31st October. No garlic or garlic-scented items are allowed and silver jewellery should be left at home.
And needless to stay, don't bring a crucifix into the castle or place anything in the cross format, the contest rules state.
And check-in time is, of course, "anytime after 7pm".
