Ronda Rousey is making her much anticipated return to the octagon on 30 December when she will challenge Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title. The former longest reigning women's bantamweight champion is fighting for the first time in 13-months following her brutal knockout against Holly Holm, when she surrendered the title.

The California-born fighter has changed her approach this time around and maintained a low profile ahead of the fight rather than promote and taunt her opponent like she did ahead of her fight against Holm. Rousey has made it clear that winning is her only objective and has focused her energy completely on getting herself in the best shape possible.

Nunes, on the other hand, has been speaking to the media and made it clear from the very beginning that she had all the tools to beat Rousey when they face each other for the title. The Brazilian admitted that she has been preparing her entire career to face the American.

Rousey's mental state has been questioned ahead of her comeback owing to her lengthy time off following the loss, but it is understood that she is back to her best, which should make it an exciting encounter.
