American Horror Story season 6: Matt Bomer confirms return, teases 'substantially different concept'
Matt Bomer has confirmed that he will return for American Horror Story season 6 and teased a little concept detail for the FX show's upcoming instalment.
In an interview with Magic Radio, Bomer said: "I don't know anything [about season 6], electively so. It's coming back, and I know that I will be a part of it at some point, which is great and I'm incredibly excited about, but sort of electively and also non-electively, I don't really know what the concept is,"
Teasing about the season 6 concept, the actor revealed: "If I told you what the initial concept was before eventually [season 5] became Hotel, your jaw would drop. It's about as big of a '180' as you can get.... So I don't want to be teased by one premise, only to find that it's actually something substantially different."
Bomer first appeared in season 3 of AHS: Freak Show for just one episode, where he played a prostitute named Andy who ends up being killed by serial killer Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock). The actor then returned to AHS: Hotel to play Donovan, one of The Countess' (Lady Gaga) lovers.
The cast and producers of American Horror Story: Hotel will be attending the panel for a For Your Consideration Emmy event at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Monday (13 June). The event will feature a screening of an episode of American Horror Story: Hotel followed by a conversation with the show's cast and producers.
Actors Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock and executive producers Tim Minear and Ryan Murphy will attend the event. Reports suggest that Murphy might announce the theme and plot details for American Horror Story season 6 there.
AHS season 6 premieres this October on FX Network.
