Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom rekindle relationship but fans are unimpressed - 'Utter farce'

The newly rekindled pair of Amir Khan and his pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom have been accused of using their marital woes as a publicity prop by social media users.

The 30-year-old British boxer sparked an online frenzy after sharing a snap with his 26-year-old wife cuddled up on the sofa in loungewear.

Embracing Makhdoom in the shot while wearing Adidas trackpants, Khan captioned it: ''With my 4 month pregnant wife, after sorting out all the issues. Closing the year with a happy ending @faryalmakhdoom.''

While some fans were delighted by the news, others were suspicious.

One follower wrote: ''so it was all just a publicity stunt, pathetic attention seeking t****, they deserve each other.''

Another said: ''A complete and utter farce. Both besharam [unconscionable]. Need to learn to sort the domestics out in private.''

A third added: ''Thought we'd be seeing them on Jeremy Kyle show soon''.

Others were overjoyed that the on/off couple had finally sorted their marriage problems out.

Someone else commented: ''Orrritte great news ',' while some were concerned Makhdoom may be pregnant with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua's baby, whom Khan accused his wife of having an affair with earlier this year.

Another said: ''U sure it's not AJs baby?''

Meanwhile, Makhdoom, an American-Pakistani cosmetics entrepreneur, shared a cryptic message with her own followers hinting at the couple's reunion.

It read: ''I hope one day, we find each other again and laugh over whatever pain we might have caused.''

One of her followers commented: ''Congratulations So happy to see you guys together again ❤ M.A,'' while another encouraged her to protect her private life: ''Good to see you guys back but ngl you guys are embarassing taking your problems to social media ...learn from this and keep your private life private!''

Khan publicly humiliated Makhdoom when he announced their divorce over Twitter in August after months of family feuding.

He tweeted: "Thanks to Faryal for clearing up the accusations she had made about my family in the past which were false."

He added: "Unfortunately it didn't work out between Me and Faryal and we are still going ahead with the divorce. We are in good talking terms.

"We have to think about our daughter Lamaisah who I will always be there for. I wish Faryal all the very best for the future."

Khan has since been spotted with a Makhdoom lookalike while on a night out on London, while his formerly estranged wife has been focusing on her second pregnancy, work projects and raising their daughter Lamaisah.
