Android 4.4.2 (10.5.A.0.230) KitKat Now Live for Sony Xperia ZR [FTF Links]
Android 4.4.2 KitKat software update with build version 10.5.A.0.230 is now available for Sony's Xperia's high-end smartphone, Xperia ZR.
Last week, Sony confirmed the roll out of Android 4.4.2 update with improved performance and optimised user interface for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z. Sony has updated its native apps to the latest versions with several tweaks and improvements.
Besides, the update brings PlayStation 4 users a new user interface, which comes with the sleek launch animation and live wallpapers across the lock and home screen. There is a revamped Status Bar and intuitive and customisable Quick Settings.
Sony has now updated the software page, which suggests the KitKat update with build number 10.5.A.0.230 has begun rolling out for Xperia Z from 27 May. Given below are the software details and Sony changelog for the update.

Currently, the update is available for HSPA+ variant (C5502) in Taiwan and LTE model (C5503) in Nordic countries and Hong Kong, reports XperiaBlog. The update is expected to reach other regions across the globe soon.
Those who have not received the notification yet may check the availability of the update by navigating to Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates.
