Motorola has released Android 4.4.4 update for Moto G in the UK. Amazon

Motorola has released the latest KitKat software with Android version 4.4.4 for its affordable Moto G smartphone for users in the UK.

Motorola, earlier this month, confirmed the Android 4.4.4 global roll out for its smartphones. The update includes all the Android 4.4.3 goodies, as Motorola had skipped the previous KitKat firmware for some of its devices. It brings a new dialer app, the ability to pause during video recording, enhanced camera image quality and enhanced security for OpenSSL.

Android Central, after receiving reports from users, confirms that Android 4.4.4 is now seeding for Moto G in the UK.

The update has been released for Vodafone subscribers, which means Moto G owners having other wireless carriers will have to wait for some time for the OTA update.

The software update comes with new build version 210.12.40. Given below are the key features as noted in the release note.

How to install Android 4.4.4 on Moto G

  • Select Download
  • Once the software download is completed, select Install now
  • After the software is installed, the phone will restart automatically
  • The phone should now be updated with 210.12.40

If you have not received the notification message for the update try the following steps to manually update the phone.

  • Select Settings icon in the app menu
  • Select About phone
  • Select System updates
  • Select Download, when the software is downloaded, select Install
  • When the software is installed, the phone will re-start automatically

Check the firmware information. The Moto G should now have Android 4.4.4 with build version 210.12.40.
