Android 5.0 confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: Update expected to start seeding in France
Here's some good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini smartphone, as it is official that they would receive Google's Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS update in the second quarter of 2015.
Confirming the above news via Twitter, the South Korea-based company has indicated a likely Q2 2015 roll-out of the Android Lollipop for Galaxy S5 handsets.
However, since the roll-out has been confirmed by the French division of Samsung Mobiles, it seems like the Android Lollipop for Galaxy S5 Mini would begin seeding in France.
Users are therefore advised to check their devices (both for OTA notifications as well as manually) for the Android Lollipop update and do let us know if they have received a notification about the update.
As of now, Android 5.0 has been launched for Samsung devices like the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S4 in select countries of Europe and Asia.
Samsung is expected to seed the Android 5.0 to the older Galaxy Note 2 smartphone in the near future.
