Overview
Murray's win over Milos Raonic (via a walkover) helped him create history as the 29-year-old became the first British man to be ranked World No 1 since computerised rankings were introduced in 1973. He also becomes the second oldest man to reach the top spot since John Newcombe at the age of 30 in 1974. The Scot has 10,785 points as compared to Novak Djokovic's 10,780 and will look to extend his lead on Sunday. Murray comes into the clash as the favourite.
Isner had a fairly easy run in the semi-final cruising past Croatian Marin Cilic to clinch the tie 6-4, 6-3. Isner, who has reached the final of a Masters 1000 event twice, has fond memories of the courts of Paris reaching the semi-final in 2011. His head-to-head record with Murray is not great, with the Croatian losing all the games they have played.
Betting odds (ladbrokes)
