Anne Hathaway 'expecting first child' with husband Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway is expecting her first child with husband Adam Shulman, it has been reported. The Oscar winner is thought to be around four or five months pregnant. A source told E! News: "Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great!"

The 33-year-old first sparked speculation that she may be expecting when she was photographed wearing a loose black dress at the premiere of The Intern in London in September.

Hathaway had in recent weeks, been seen wearing clothes that appeared to cover her stomach. She has also hinted at possible pregnancy symptoms on her Instagram feed. Posting a make-up free selfie she wrote: "I've got something like diaper rash on my chin."

Last year while promoting Rio 2 she said: "I've wanted to be a mother since I was 16, but I also just knew I wanted to have a career as well. So now I think that I'm getting to an age when I don't know exactly when that moment will be but I think I'm coming upon it."

The Les Miserables actress, who was married in September 2012, has made no secret of her desire to start a family. During a panel discussion that included Naomi Watts, Helen Hunt, Amy Adams, Rachel Weisz, Marion Cotillard and Sally Field she told the Hollywood Reporter: "I'm the only one that's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon."

In an interview with The Telegraph newspaper shortly after her wedding she revealed that she wanted 'a family of a certain size.' "I gotta get on it, you know?" she said. "I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special.

"I've had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie, get a movie, get a movie. Now I might have to say: get a baby, get a baby, get a baby.

"I also had to find a baby daddy first - which I now have," Hathaway added. Hathaway and Shulman began dating in 2008, shortly after the Devil Wears Prada actress ended her relationship with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri, who was found guilty of fraud.

The actress has yet to officially confirm her pregnancy.
