Another Justice League member set to appear in Suicide Squad
The movie opens in theatres on 5 August.
Warner Bros released a trailer in June confirming a cameo role for Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman in Suicide Squad. Now, the makers of the movie have revealed another Justice League member will also make an appearance in the movie.
Warning: Spoilers ahead
Fan theories about a Justice League member's cameo role in the movie began to make the rounds after a scene from a trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con showed Captain Boomerang hit by a flash of lightning.
According to CinemaBlend, Ezra Miller's The Flash will be making an appearance in the film as the actor's name and his role have been mentioned in the official movie credits. Moreover, the movie cast is listed in order of appearance and The Flash is listed after Boomerang. Considering that Boomerang and Flash's credits come early, the movie website believes the scene revealed in San Diego Comic-Con appears early on in the movie.
The report further said that the credit does not reveal Affleck as the Batman nor is there any mention of him.
In the comic books Boomerang is the nemesis of The Flash, who is also set to appear in Justice League in 2017 and in his solo movie in March 2018.
Suicide Squad will see a group of anti-villains let out of prison for a dangerous mission, following the successful completion of which they will be set free. However, their chances of survival will hang in the balance.
The cast of the movie includes Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie plays Harley Quinn, Will Smith is Deadshot, Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman is Rick Flagg, Delevingne plays Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez plays El DIablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot and Viola Davis is Amanda Waller.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer and opens in theatres on 5 August.
