- Papy Djilobodji close to joining Chelsea from Nantes
- Reports: Agreement reached for David de Gea to sign for Real Madrid
- Adnan Januzaj in talks over Borussia Dortmund loan
- Fabio Borini seals £7m Sunderland switch
Well that brings an end to our live coverage of the last full day of the summer transfer window. There promise to be some huge deals confirmed over the next 21 hours of the window and IBTimes UK will have all the news when it is announced over the coming hours. We're back at 9am tomorrow with coverage of the final nine hours of the window, and beyond, but until then goodbye.
While we wait for further news on De Gea, Navas and co, a quick look ahead to tomorrow and what we can expect on the final day of business. Will Tottenham Hotspur test West Brom's resolve and bid again for Saido Berahino? Will Victor Wanyama attempt to force his way out of Southampton? Can Manchester United complete a deal for Anthony Martial? Plenty to around to retain your interest I am sure you'll agree.
Fabio Borini has given his first interview since joining Sunderland from Liverpool. "It's very nice to be back here," the Italian said. "It's a place I call home. My heart is here. I came here after a season of injuries. We had a very successful season, we stayed up and we went to Wembley. When you go to a new club it can be difficult if you don't know the people. I am at Sunderland because I wanted to be and I am happy to be here."
Some comments from Lindegaard upon sealing his move to The Hawthorns. "Since moving to England I've been impressed with how well West Brom have done in the Premier League," he Dane said. "I had a good chat with Tony Pulis and he convinced me it would be a good move for me and the club. From there things moved very quickly. I was very keen to get it done so I can just concentrate on the thing that matters most, the football."
Contender for the most bizarre transfer story of the day. Jelle Vossen has completed his second move of the summer, joining Club Brugge from Burnley just eight weeks after moving to the Championship club. The 26-year-old has cited homesickness for his decision to return to Belgium, where he can be with his new wife and family.
Lots of analysis of Louis van Gaal's transfer policy and the success, or lack thereof, of some of his big-name signings. Angel di Maria has broken his silence of his problems during his one and only season at United, claiming his personal relationship with the Dutch coach led to his departure to Paris Saint Germain. "I made a very good start and then I got injured. Things weren't quite working for me and Van Gaal changed my position," he said. "It's difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a number of flare ups with him."
So the summer transfer window has 24 hours left to run and there are still dozens of deals to be completed. David de Gea appears close to joining Real Madrid, in one of a host of deals involving Manchester United, who look set to sign Anthony Martial from Monaco. Strap in for some drama over the next day or so.
More from Manchester United and another outgoing in the form of James Wilson. Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion are both interested in a loan deal for the England youth international, but the deal could even be a permanent one if the players gets his way. Men in white coats may be along soon to take Ed Woodward and co. away.
The David de Gea saga has taken another twist this afternoon. The deal, which is being reported as being worth in the region of £29.3m, will see Keylor Navas move to Manchester United in the other direction. Another fascinating aspect to a story that just keeps on giving. Looks like Real Madrid will get there man.
This is what Borini has had to say following his move to Sunderland, where he will take the number nine shirt:
"I am delighted to be back at Sunderland. It is a club I know really well from my time here previously.
"It will be emotional for me to play at the Stadium of Light again and I can't wait to get back on the pitch as a Sunderland player."
Manager Dick Advocaat describes him as a 'great addition' to his side who have endured a difficult start to the 2015/16 season.
Former Swansea favourite Jonathan de Guzman looks set to complete his return to the Premier League later today. Multiple sources, including Sky, suggest the Dutch midfielder is set to undergo a medical ahead of a season-long loan deal from Napoli.
The cost of the move is believed to be an initial £720,000 that also includes an option to buy on a permanent basis for a fixed price of £3.5m.
A rather intriguing subplot to those latest De Gea rumours involves the future of current Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas. It seems that the Costa Rican international could head in the opposite direction as part of a separate deal.
That could be an ideal scenario for Louis van Gaal, particularly given Sergio Romero's unconvincing showing at Swansea, Anders Lindegaard holding talks with West Brom and no sign of his fractured relationship with Victor Valdes being repaired anytime soon.
A further update on the De Gea saga. Marca are now claiming that an agreement has been reached between Manchester United and Real Madrid, with the player set to officially sign before tonight for a fee between €30m-€35m.
A few sources, including the Mail as well as Spanish publications AS and Marca, seem to be hinting that David de Gea's long-awaited move to Real Madrid could at last be in the offing.
Talks between the two clubs are already believed to have reached an advanced stage after dialogue was finally opened on Monday. The Spanish transfer window closes at midnight tonight, remember.
Make of that what you will.
The Mail are now reporting that West Ham and Everton are among the clubs looking to sign Tottenham outcast Aaron Lennon, who is clearly surplus to requirements under Pochettino having yet to feature for the first team so far this season also seen his number seven shirt handed to new signing Heung-Min Son.
In the Championship, Wolves look to have beaten off competition from a host of rival suitors to the signing of highly-rated and versatile Swindon winger Nathan Byrne. The deal is worth in the region of £1m.
That £7m move to West Ham would be quite something for Antonio, who was playing for non-league side Tooting & Mitcham before being picked up by Reading for a nominal fee back in 2008.
While he initially did not make the grade at the Madejski Stadium, the 25-year-old proved his worth during loan spells with Southampton and Sheffield Wednesday before joining the latter permanently three years ago.
Since moving to Forest, he has become one of the Championship's most-feared players and has already scored twice in the league so far this season.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said he was looking to complete at least three deals before tomorrow's transfer deadline. With Nikica Jelavic on his way and Victor Moses also expected to join on loan from Chelsea, it seems that highly-rated Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio is to complete that trio.
Nottingham Post reporter Paul Taylor says: "Told Nottingham Forest have accepted a £7m bid from West Ham for Michail Antonio. Winger expected in London for talks today #nffc"
A substantial blow for Forest, that.
An interesting development courtesy of Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur. He cites broadcast station RTBF in claiming that Tottenham have seen an offer rejected for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel.
Although the addition of a new striker must be the pressing priority for Pochettino following the goalless draw with Everton, he also appears to be in the market for a dominant holding player amid rumours that he is also chasing unsettled Kenyan Victor Wanyama at Southampton.
More on Martial now. Stuart Mathieson of the Manchester Evening News has confirmed that the fee for his services is £36m and that Van Gaal has been scouting the player for the last 12 months. It seems that Monaco's elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Valencia has been a key factor behind the deal.
United may well be swooping early in order to avoid a battle with several other potential suitors next summer.
While Manchester United supporters are currently fixated upon the imminent arrival of Anthony Martial, there could be a number of fringe players exiting Old Trafford today.
As well as Javier Hernandez reportedly agreeing a move to Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund supposedly in advanced talks over a season-long loan deal for Adnan Januzaj, the Press Association are also claiming that the club are negotiating with West Brom over little-used goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard.
Speaking of Tottenham, reports from Sky in Germany are suggesting that Belgian academy starlet Ismael Azzaoui has now completed his move to Wolfsburg.
It's been quite a busy few days for the Bundesliga club, who agreed the signing of Dante from Bayern Munich yesterday and also sold former Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City for an eye-watering £55m fee.
Julian Draxler could also be on his way to the Volkswagen Arena shortly.
To Tottenham now, where The Mirror are reporting that Marseille have emerged as favourites to sign Erik Lamela on a season-long loan deal.
The Argentine, who became the club's record signing after joining from Roma in August 2013, was supposedly keen on a return to Serie A after failing to make his mark at White Hart Lane but it now looks as if France is his most likely destination.
Here's that statement from the French Football Federation.
Anthony Martial was presented Monday at 11:00 at the gathering of the France team at Clairefontaine. He requested from Didier Deschamps permission to travel to England to sign a contract with Manchester United.
Given the exceptional circumstances, the coach has accepted to the request of the player.
Anthony Martial left Clairefontaine Monday at 12:00. He will return on Tuesday morning.
The mass exodus at Old Trafford looks like it will continue today. A day after West Brom signed Jonny Evans from the Old Trafford club, they are back again for goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, according to the Birmingham Mail. The 31-year-old is currently fifth choice at United, so it's safe to say he probably won't mind a move.
Fabio Borini finally looks close to sealing a Liverpool exit. The Guardian report Sunderland have agreed a £7m fee for the player who turned them down this time last year.
It has been awfully quiet over at the Emirates, hasn't it? While the signing of Petr Cech could be looked back upon as one of the deals of the summer, the lack of any other major arrivals has been bewildering. Obligatory rumours linking the club with Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani are doing the rounds this morning.
The David de Gea saga has rumbled on all summer but Manchester United only have to last another eight hours and the Spaniard will remain their player until at least January. According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid will make one final push for the shot stopper before Spain's 6pm deadline, and will once again try to use Keylor Navas as a makeweight in the deal.
Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama was left out of Ronald Koeman's squad in the weekend victory over Norwich City following concerns over his frame of mind heading into the game. The Kenya international has been heavily linked with a reunion at White Hart Lane with former manager Mauricio Pochettino, so expect him to have a central role to play over the next two days.
The situation is with Victor that he has lost some focus to the team. And that is why he took him out of the squad today. If he keeps going like this, he is playing with his future.
£36m for a 19-year-old centre forward smells a bit like a panic buy, doesn't it? Manchester United have money burning a hole in their pocket but not many to spend it on. They are looking woefully blunt up front and Javier Hernandez's departure will leave the club with just two recognised centre forwards in Wayne Rooney and 19-year-old James Wilson.
It is certainly an odd one, but according to Louis van Gaal, the club will do nothing of the sort. Here's what he had to say following Sunday's loss to Swansea (before all these Martial reports cropped up)
When you are scouting players, you already know in advance more than a month or two months which ones you can buy or not. It's not that we are in a panic at the last moment. When you see the game, we were the dominant team but you have to score more and not concede the goals.
After a dismal 2-1 defeat to Swansea on Sunday, Manchester United are top of the news agenda this morning. German publication Kicker claim that Javier Hernandez is close to sealing a move to Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of £12m, a move that will surely spark the club into life and buy another striker. But with Gareth Bale, Neymar and Thomas Muller all distant to the idea of moving to Old Trafford, who are they after now? Le Parisien and L'Equipe both claim Louis van Gaal's side are now in talks with Monaco forward Anthony Martial for a fee of £36m.
Good morning and welcome to the penultimate day of the summer transfer window. Premier League clubs have until 6pm tomorrow evening to get themselves in order and naturally, there is plenty still to be done. With Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur expected to be two of the busiest sides today, we will be keeping you updates with every twist and development from across Europe.
