Anti world tour: Rihanna and Drake surprise fans with duet of Work at Miami show
It was only a matter of time before Drake joined Rihanna on the singer's Anti world tour. As a surprise for the sold-out audience, the former couple shared the stage at the American Airlines Arena on 15 March to perform their latest collaboration Work and a medley of other songs.
In footage from the concert, Rihanna, 28, is seen kicking off the performance with a group of dancers before Drake appears from the side of the stage in time for his verse. Just like their performance at the Brit Awards in London in February, the musicians put on a flirty display while Rihanna dances for him.
Much to the delight of the audience, Drake then hogs the spotlight for a while to perform his collaboration with Future, Jumpman, before reuniting with Rihanna for a rendition of their chart-topping 2010 single What's My Name? the first song the pair performed. Following their duet, Drake wrote on Instagram: "Watching Rih sing on Anti Tour like... had so much fun tonight."
Rihanna had previously hinted that Drake, 29, would join her at some point on the Anti tour, telling Ellen DeGeneres in February: "He totally should, maybe next time. I would love to go on tour with Drake actually. That has to happen." Fans in the UK should also expect to see the Canadian rapper at RiRi's shows in June with a source telling The Mirror that the Diamonds singer will share the stage with her former beau on the European leg. The insider claimed: "She is determined to recreate some of the buzz that was around for the Brits."
The Bitch Better Have My Money singer launched the 71-date tour in Jacksonville, Florida on 12 March and will kick off the UK leg on 24 June at Wembley Stadium in London. Drake is currently busy putting the finishing touches to his long-awaited fourth studio album Views From The 6, which he has confirmed is set for release in April although a specific date is yet to be announced.
