Apple denies rumour about building iOS to Android switching tool
Apple has denied rumours that the company had agreed to build a switching tool for its iOS users who might want to migrate to the Android platform. Apple's denial came in a public statement issued to BuzzFeed.
Denying the report in the Telegraph, here is what an Apple spokesperson had to say: "There is no truth to this rumour," said Trudy Muller in the statement. "We are entirely focused on switching users from Android to iPhone, and that is going great."
The Telegraph report had suggested that Apple was building a tool to help users switch from iOS to Android, owing to pressure from carriers in the European Union. Apple has refuted all such claims stating that it will continue to support and help Android users who are switching to iOS, but not vice-versa.
In September, Apple released a Switch to iOS From Android app, which seems to have paid off, and there does not seem to be any reason for the company to embrace an iOS to Android switch at this time.
