Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: UK Pre-order Price and Where to Buy
Apple has announced the latest incarnations of its flagship smartphone with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and pre-orders for the new devices are to start from this Friday, 12 September.
We've spoken with the people in the know and present to you our guide on where to buy the iPhone 6 in the UK and what will be on offer with the phones.
Apple
You can purchase the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus devices outright from Apple from 8am on 19 September at the Apple stores, with pre-orders starting on 12 September. You can pre-order the devices here or visit an Apple retail store. The phones are available in colours of silver, gold, space grey. Delivery is free.

Vodafone
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to pre-order from this Friday 12 September and will be delivered to customers on 19 September.

The iPhone 6 will be available for free from Vodafone on the 4G Red XL and Red XXL 24-month plans. The Red XL plan offers 10GB of data for a monthly tariff of £53.50, while the Red XXL plan offers 20GB of data for a monthly tariff of £58.50 (view more pricing details here).
The iPhone 6 Plus is available on the same plans with a £19 up-front contribution.
Customers who want to go up to 4G can also trade-in their old phone and get £5 off their monthly line rental. All plans come with unlimited data for the first three months as part of Vodafone's "Data Test Drive" scheme.
You can also get an iPhone 6 on the 3G Red plan for £38.50 by contributing £99 upfront, which gets you 1GB of data, unlimited calls and texts, or get a monthly tariff of £38.50 and contribute £99 upfront to get an iPhone 6 on 4G, which gives you 1GB data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts.
As a special offer, any customer who signs up for a new Red XXL or Red XL contract plan between 12 September to 3 November will receive a free six-month membership to Netflix as well as the choice to have a free two-year membership to either Spotify or Sky Sports.
The offer is not only available to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but also to a range of other smartphones including iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and Galaxy S4.
EE
Operator EE has confirmed that it will be offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for pre-order from 8:01am on Friday, 12 September, and customers can pre-order and view prices online now here.
EE is the only mobile operator to be offering Wi-Fi Calling, a new function on the iPhone 6. Subscribers will be able to make calls and send SMS text messages where there is no mobile phone signal. The call or text message comes out of the quota in your plan.

The 16GB iPhone 6 is available on a 24-month plan on EE at a monthly tariff of £35.99 for 2GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £199, or £40.99 for 2GB of 4G data unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £99.
The £38.99 tariff for this device offers 4GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £149, or £43.99 monthly tariff for 4GB of 4G data and an upfront contribution of £50.
The 64GB iPhone 6 is available on a 24-month plan on EE at a monthly tariff of £35.99 for 2GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £269, or £40.99 for 2GB of 4G data unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £189.
The £38.99 tariff for this device offers 4GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £219, or £43.99 monthly tariff for 4GB of 4G data and an upfront contribution of £149.
For the iPhone 6 Plus, the lowest monthly tariff for the 16GB version is £35.99 with 2GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £269. The most expensive tariff for this version is £53.99 with an upfront cost of £50.
For the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus, the lowest monthly tariff starts at £35.99 for 2GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £339. The most expensive tariff for this version is £53.99 with an upfront cost of £119.
EE will launch the new iPhone devices in its stores at 8:01am on Friday, 19 September.
Three
Three UK has the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus available for pre-order online now and almost all versions of the devices come with a £99 upfront contribution charge.
Here is an overview of some of the prices:
The 16GB iPhone 6 is available on a 24-month plan at a monthly tariff of £38 for 1GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes, or £41 for 2GB of 4G data unlimited texts and minutes, with an upfront contribution of £99 as well.
A £45 tariff will get you the device with All-You-Can-Eat-Data.
The 64GB iPhone 6 is available on a 24-month plan at a monthly tariff of £43 for 1GB of 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes. The most expensive tariff is unlimited 4G data, unlimited texts and minutes for £55 a month.
Monthly tariffs for the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus start from £44 a month with 1GB of 4G data and go up to £51 a month for unlimited data.
The 64GB iPhone 6 is offered on tariffs starting from £49 a month for 1GB of 4G data to £56 a month for unlimited data, and the 128GB verion has tariffs starting from £54 a month for 1GB of 4G data.
The top tariff for the 128GB version is £60 a month and the upfront cost is £119.
All customers will be able to call 0800 numbers for free and be able to call, text and use data in 16 countries abroad including the US, Australia, France, and Italy, as part of the Feel at Home package.
O2
O2 is now offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for pre-order and will be launching the devices on 19 September.
The O2 online shop is currently experiencing very high traffic volumes, but you can call O2 on 202 if you're an existing customer to register interest, ring 0844 202 0202, or vist an O2 store and speak with a customer representative.

The 20GB tariff on each type of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also includes free cinema tickets or Debenhams vouchers, a dedicated customer service team, and six months' worth of free phone insurance.

If you purchase the 16GB or 64GB iPhone 6 on a larger data plan of between 5GB to 20GB of 4G data (from £48-£58 per month for a 24-month contract), then you get the device for free. The 128GB iPhone 6 is also available for free on the £53 monthly tariff with 5GB of 4G data.
For the iPhone 6 Plus, prices for the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus starts from a monthly tariff of £33 on a 24-month contract for 1GB of 4G data, unlimited calls and texts, and an upfront contribution of £229.99.
The most expensive tariff for this device is £58 a month for 20GB of 4G data, unlimited calls and texts, and the device is free.
Tariffs for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus start from £33 per month on a 24-month contract for 1GB of 4G data, unlimited calls and texts, and an upfront contribution of £309.99, to the top tariff of £58 a month with unlimited calls and texts, and an upfront cost of £69.99.
128GB iPhone 6 Plus tariffs also range from £33 per month on a 24-month contract for 1GB of 4G data, unlimited calls and texts, and an upfront contribution of £389.99, to the top tariff of £58 a month with unlimited calls and texts, and an upfront cost of £139.99.
Both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will be available on O2 Refresh tariffs, which are two part plans whereby the customer pays for both the phone and the air-time.
Users are not tied to 24-month plans and can choose to start a new contract once they have paid off the cost of their device.
O2 expects there to be huge demand for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, and as such, the devices will not be available for Pay & Go when they launch next week.
Phones4U
Phones4U now has the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus available to pre-order and you can view a wide range of contract offers from Vodafone and EE here. The new devices are currently not being offered for sale on pay as you go.
