Apple News app in iOS 9: US-specific application can be accessed by users around the world
Technology giant Apple, which recently released the public version of the iOS 9 operating system, has eliminated the ageing Newsstand app and introduced the brand-new Apple News application. The down-side of this app is that it is only available for users in the US.
However, even as the company has plans to officially release Apple News in other countries in due course of time, a workaround has been spotted, which can help users outside of the US experience the latest app on iOS 9. Follow the steps below to access the news app.
How to access Apple News app in iOS 9:
Step 1: Navigate to Settings on the device
Step 2: Select General sub-menu
Step 3: Tap on Language and Region sub-menu
Step 4: A list of geographical regions are displayed, choose United States
Step 5: Tap Done
Step 6: Select Continue, when pop-up message appears
Step 7: Save changes made in step 4.
