Apple 'Scarf Guy' Steals Thunder From iPhone 6: Keynote Speaker Becomes Latest Internet Sensation

It's not a phone, it's not a watch, it's... the scarfguy!

Apart from the iPhone 6, Apple launched another mega sensation on Tuesday – the guy in the purple scarf. Little did gaming executive Tommy Krul know that something as innocuous as a scarf would make him the butt of jokes on social media.

His decision to sport a purple infinity scarf paired with a button-down shirt onstage at the launch event has resulted in an outpouring of comments from Apple fans. Twitter is flooding with comments using the #scarfguy hashtag, and the guy already has a parody Twitter account with close to 1,000 followers as of Wednesday afternoon.
