Arrow Season 2 Episode 18 Deathstroke: What is Slade's Devious Plan?

Tonight's episode of Arrow Season 2 titled 'Deathstroke' promises to be an explosive one as Oliver will learn about Slade's devious plans.

Previously, Slade swore to uphold a promise that he had made earlier to Oliver: "You cannot die until you have suffered the same way I have suffered. Until you have known complete despair. And you will."

In response, Oliver tried to push his loved ones away to protect them from Slade, reports Hypable.

He swore to kill Slade and "make damn sure he stays dead."

"Episode 17 ended with Thea getting kidnapped by Slade, and 18 deals with all the ramifications of that," Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim says (via TV Line).

"It's basically about the manhunt for Slade, the search for Thea and the high stakes of what Slade is going to do. The episode is called 'Deathstroke' because this is the first huge move that Slade Wilson is going to make in his plan to exact revenge."

Reportedly, this week's episode will shed first light on what all Slade has in store.

"His endgame is actually pretty complicated. It's not one move, it's several, and he hits a few of them in this episode," Guggenheim reveals.

"At this point, Oliver knows that Slade's plan is to basically take away everything and everyone he loves, including his city, and then kill him. But what Oliver doesn't know are the specifics of how that plan will be enacted. In this episode, he learns that the way Slade is planning on destroying him is completely unexpected."

"Oliver thought he was facing one kind of enemy," Guggenheim teases, "but the truth is he's facing a very different kind, and that enemy will really surprise him."

The official synopsis for Arrow season 2, episode 18, Deathstroke, reads:

Slade (Manu Bennett) makes his move against Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the repercussions are enormous. While Oliver scrambles to protect his family, a key player in his team starts to question Oliver's decisions. Meanwhile, Isabel (guest star Summer Glau) makes her move to take Queen Consolidated away from Oliver.
