Arrow Season 2: New Finale Promo Teases First Look of The Flash in Action
The eagerly-awaited Flash TV series just got its first small teaser and it looks pretty neat.
A new promo of Arrow season 2 finale reveals the first look at the speeding superhero in action. Watch the video below:
"The super speed CGI looks awesome. The detail was pretty impressive. Way better than Smallville. With a better look on Wednesday when the trailer drops we'll have a better idea of what to expect," reports Moviepilot.
Earlier, as per rumours, the makers were planning to introduce Flash in the ongoing series Arrow itself. However, it was later decided that The Flash will get its own separate pilot episode and series. Nevertheless, actor Grant Gustin who is playing Barry Allen/Flash did make an appearance in an Arrow episode.
The Flash arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, who, along with Geoff Johns, wrote the pilot episode, which was helmed by Arrow pilot director David Nutter.
Grant Gustin will star as the titular hero along with Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Barry's mother Nora Allen and many others, including John Wesley Shipp, from the original 'The Flash' TV series, in an unspecified role.
Here's a video of the 1990S TV series on The Flash:
Post the 1990s version, this will be the next big live-action adaptation of the popular comic book superhero.
Looks like the execs at DC and Warner Bros. are hoping to repeat the success of Arrow with their new shows The Flash and Gotham.
The Flash season 1 is set to air this fall. Arrow Season 2 finale titled 'Unthinkable' will air on 14 May.
