Arrow season 3: Finale episode to introduce Batman's son Damian Wayne as new villain?
Looks like the Arrow season 3 finale is going to be extra special for die-hard Batman fans. While the show has already featured some Batman villains including Ra's al Ghul, the last episode of season 3 will reportedly introduce a new bad guy who's pretty close to The Dark Knight.
As per TV Line, the season 3 finale of Arrow will introduce a "major, formidable, fierce new foe" for Oliver Queen, and his "reign of terror" is something which will then continue well into season 4 of the popular series. The character is being described internally as "Damian Dark", and the site goes on to speculate that this could be some different version of Damian Wayne - who is Batman's son in the DC comics.
However, it's quite unlikely that they will stick to the original roots of the character. Here's how the makers will try to incorporate Damian Dark minus the Batman connection. (via Cinema Blend)
In season 2, it was revealed that a mysterious organisation called Hive hired Deadshot to kill John Diggle's brother Andy. Hive is a terrorist organisation that has frequently fought with the Teen Titans in the comics, and one of its members is named Damien Darhk.
Using Damien Darhk may be the way that Arrow sets up Hive as the main season 4 antagonist.
Arrow season 3 is currently on a short hiatus and will return with a new episode 'The Offer' on Wednesday, 18 March.
