Queen's Park Rangers, who are still battling against relegation, must have breathed a collective sigh of relief after they managed to humble the mighty Gunners, 2-1, in Saturday's league game. The Gunners, to boot, came to Loftus Road in the form of their lives!
Moroccan midfielder Adel Taarabt put the Hoops in front in the 22nd minute, with an impressive strike that flew into the bottom right corner of the net.
Arsenal soon equalized via winger Theo Walcott, who found the net with a powerful strike off a rebound of his own first-time shot.
Now, it was the Gunners who were in control of the game with quite a few attempts on goal, only to be denied by QPR goalie Patrick Kenny.
However, it was the Hoops who took the lead again, via Malian midfielder Samba Diakité, in the 66th minute.
Arsenal kept pressing for a second equaliser but the Hoops managed to soak up the pressure well and keep their lead till the end of the game.
