Overview
Arsenal welcome Galatasaray to the Emirates Stadium on matchday 2 of the Champions League group stages.
The Gunners are coming into this game on the back of a dominating performance against arch rivals Tottenham, but despite controlling the possession for large parts of the game, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Arsene Wenger's main concern will be his midfield pairing for the game following injuries to Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta at the weekend. Jack Wilshere has been passed fit, but may start on the bench, leaving the manager short in midfield.
The north London club are under pressure to win after losing their opening group encounter against Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Wenger maintains that home form is key if they want to qualify for the knockout rounds of the competition.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray also come into this game following a stuttering start to their season and will also be hoping for three points after they managed just a draw at home against Anderlecht in their opening fixture.
Cesare Prandelli's men will play without fear as all the pressure will be on the home team and they might opt for the counter attacking style as they will be aware that Arsenal will take the game to them in an effort to get all three points.
What Managers Say
Arsene Wenger: "The group stage is a minimum of 10 points so the home games are vital. We had a disappointing result in Dortmund and at the moment I feel that the potential is there for us. We don't lose a lot but we want to find the winning edge together and we have that opportunity [on Wednesday]. It's early but we are maybe more under pressure to win the game than if we had won the first.
Cesare Prandelli: "We are playing against a quality, experienced team at their own ground, and so will have to be a bit more controlled in our game. We should be running enough to close all of the gaps and we should play our own game. We will make sure whenever we lose the ball, we will get it back quicker. We have to be brave, to be courageous and make sure we play our own style."
