Australia: Shocking video shows abusive customer spit in mouth of McDonald's drive thru clerk
This video shows the shocking moment an angry and abusive customer, from Victoria, Australia, spit in the mouth of a McDonald's drive thru clerk, apparently over a delayed order.
Initially, the images show the man dealing with a member of staff, waiting at a window and placing an order at the fast food restaurant. However, the seemingly routine exchange goes south when the he moves to the second window to receive his meal and pay.
In the footage, one waitress and a second individual, presumably a manager, can be seen talking to the man who beings to gesticulate wildly. They move away from the window and stand closer together, apparently to better defend themselves from the abuse.
The man can be seen to spit a vast quantity of saliva at the clerk as he drives away without paying. His victim then runs down an adjacent corridor wiping her face in the immediate aftermath of the attack.
A subsequent report by Victoria police who are investigating the 13 January incident in Essendon stated the spit landed on the girl's face, neck and went inside her mouth.
Moonee Ponds police say they have now identified a man they wished to speak to in regards to an incident. He contacted the investigating officer, who is expected to interview him in the coming days.
Media representatives for McDonald's in Australia did not immediately respond to calls from IBTimes UK for comment on this article.
