Australian Open 2016: Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Serena Williams ease into third round

Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Serena Williams have secured their places in the third round at the Australian Open. Defending champion Djokovic secured a straight sets victory over Frenchman Quentin Halys.
The Serbian breezed through his first two sets but was met by some resistance in the third from his 19-year-old opponent, needing a tie-break to seal a 6-1 6-2 7-6 (7-3) win.
Federer meanwhile reached the third round of the competition for the 17<sup>th consecutive year after clinching his 299<sup>th major victory, over Alexandr Dolgopolov. His 6-3 7-5 6-1 win puts him in a third-round meeting with Grigor Dimitrov, who secured a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, 7- 5 victor over Marco Trungelliti.
Seventh seed Kei Nishikori also advanced after victory over Austin Krajicek, joining Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Marin Cilic in the next round.
Defending champion Williams, meanwhile, eased to a 6-1 6-2 victory over No. 90-ranked Hsieh Su-wei but-two time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova was eliminated after a shock 6-4 6-4 defeat to Daria Gavrlova of Australia.
Fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska also secured passage to the next round with 6-4 6-2 win over Canada's Eugenie Bouchard.
