Avengers Infinity Wars: Will the Guardians of the Galaxy overshadow Black Widow?
Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, the film is scheduled to release in theatres in 2018.
The filming for Avengers Infinity Wars is currently underway in Edinburg. The third sequel in the Avengers series is touted as a major collaboration between the earth and the galactic superheroes to defeat a major threat that may destroy the universe.
With the arrival of the alien superheroes Nebula and Gamora, fans speculate whether the super swift Black Widow will be overshadowed by their cosmic talents.
Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow, believes that her character will remain unfazed by the Guardians.
"Somebody said to me the other day, they were like 'Is Black Widow ready for the Guardians of the Galaxy?'" she said during the Happy Sad Confused Podcast. "The last time aliens descended on New York I think my character was like, 'Alright, I've seen it all. I'm good.' So I don't even think like a talking tree will faze her at this point."
Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff played a key role in eliminating threats from the world with her co-fighters Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye. It remains to be seen how the soviet spy turned S.H.I.E.L.D. agent fights one of the biggest battles the Avengers have ever fought.
The film is touted as the culmination of the recent superheroes movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the heroes unite to fight mad Titan Thanos, who aspires to collect all the infinity stones to fix in the Infinity Gauntlet.
Once Thanos collects all the six Infinity Gems (also known as Soul Gems) for Power, Mind, Space, Reality, Time, and the Soul, he will gain omnipotence.
A recent on-set image leak has sparked speculations that Thanos has sent The Black Order to collect the Mind Gem from the Vision. Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers Infinity War releases in theatres on 4 May, 2018.
