The Bachelorette season 12 villain Chad Johnson to star in the Bachelor spinoff? Show creator teases possibilities
The Bachelorette season 12 star Chad Johnson won't be the first one to star in a spinoff.
Chad Johnson might have failed to win the Bachelorette of season 12 JoJo Fletcher's heart, but he sure has created a place for himself with his antics and violent outbreaks. Teasing possibilities of the hunky Chad starring in The Bachelor spinoff, show-creator Mike Fleiss posted a cryptic message on Twitter.
Fleiss tweeted, "I hear ya, #BachelorNation !!! How 'bout this little nugget? I'm thinking Chad should be the next Bachelor spinoff..."
The tweet was posted by Fleiss on Saturday, which clearly caused a buzz among fans of the popular ABC reality show, as they assumed that the luxury real estate agent might become the next Bachelor, distributing date roses to women.
However, Fleiss soon clarified his post with another tweet explaining his plans for The Bachelorette evictee. "Wasn't saying Chad should be our next Bachelor... Was thinking he might need a new show of his own! #ChadtotheBone."
Chad has created quite an impression in season 12 of the reality dating show as he picked up fights with fellow contestants vying for 25-year-old JoJo's attention. He has been punching walls, kicking stuff, and even getting a tad bit physical with his mansion mates, as he made his way through the first few episodes of the ABC show. Before finally being shown the door by JoJo, the bachelor even went on to the level of threatening and exposing fellow suitor Jordan Rodgers, who has been a front-runner this season.
According to a US Weekly report, 28-year-old Chad, who is also reported to have fuelled some drama during his upcoming Bachelor In Paradise stint, will not be the first one to get a spinoff series. The website notes that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell from season 20 of The Bachelor too will feature in a new show of their own – Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After. This new show is expected to premiere on Freeform network this fall.
