US President Barack Obama dissed Republicans in his own style, while delivering his State of the Union speech before members of Congress in the House chamber of the US Capitol in Washington, DC.

"I have no more campaigns to run," Obama said, prompting applause from his critics.

"I know because I won both of them," he quipped.

According to Mashable, the comment was the "most social moment" of the evening on Facebook.

Obama's remark also created a buzz on microblogging site Twitter.

Meanwhile, journalist Elon James White's reaction to Obama's joke was retweeted more than 10,000 times.
